Service First Mortgage is currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our team. In this role, the Generalist will be responsible for providing HR support and guidance to employees and managers across the organization.
Duties include:
- Maintain accurate HR databases and employee records, including new-hires, status changes and terminations
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Respond to benefits inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
- Administer employee benefits and leave of absence programs
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including posting job advertisements, screening candidates, and conducting interviews
- Other projects, reports and duties as assigned

Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 1-3 years Human Resources general experience, with exposure benefits and recruiting
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and integrity
- Experience with HRIS and other HR software systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- High level of integrity, discretion and professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information.
