Job Summary:
Kickstand, a global, full-service PR firm, is looking for an HR Generalist to join its team. Employees in this role will support recruitment, onboarding, training, employee engagement and culture including events support. Candidates should be tech-loving self-starters looking to grow and take on new challenges.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Onboarding processes: owning complete employee experience prior to start date, ensuring candidates have all needed equipment and agendas set for their first day and week, making sure they have an assigned manager and buddy, ensuring performance rubrics, 1:1s, quarterly reviews and annual performance reviews get put on the calendar during the first week, scheduling all needed onboarding and training meetings, etc.
- Employee Training: managing Kickstand’s training process and ensuring new hires and current employees are completing any training by designated completion date, updating the training plans with any training materials and auditing it on a regular basis; coaching managers and employees as needed on employee relations matters and training
- Culture & Employee Engagement: support of all employee engagement efforts, including helping put regular engagement surveys in place and overseeing that process and reporting on it to leadership team, managing the Performance Management tool, ensuring it’s being updated on a regular basis along with making sure the team is engaging with it; helping with coordination of all employee events including quarterly business review presentations by agency partners and team offsites, holiday party, overseeing anniversary and team birthday initiatives, etc.
- Recruitment processes, including posting and managing jobs on ATS, proactively helping source candidates, conducting initial phone screens, sending offer letters, and overseeing benefits conversations with candidates
- Assistance in other operations areas as needed - tasks could include travel coordination for the team, coordination of annual client holiday gifts, helping scout office space if/when needed, running office-related/business-related errands, etc.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience as an HR Generalist and in a small department or department of one.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized

- Ability to work with both senior and junior team members effectively
Required Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate Degree
- 3-5 years of Human Resource experience
- 3-5 years of general office administrative experience, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalents
Preferred Education and Experience:
- PR Agency experience
- SHRM and/or HRCI certification
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, 40-hours per week position. Core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This role is WFH in Austin, TX and will be required to work with the Austin team in a co-working space periodically.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.

Starting salary is $60,000 per year
