Full Job Description

DNA Security Services is seeking a motivated and skilled Installation Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security camera systems and access control systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, physical dexterity, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Installation of Security Systems:
    • Install, configure, and test security cameras, DVR/NVR systems, access control systems, and related equipment at client sites.
    • Ensure installations are completed to company standards and client specifications.
  2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Perform routine maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with security and access control systems.
    • Conduct diagnostic tests and inspections to identify and repair system malfunctions.
  3. Client Interaction:
    • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their security needs and provide solutions.
    • Provide training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
    • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while on client sites.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Complete detailed reports on installation and maintenance activities.
    • Maintain accurate records of equipment installed, serviced, or repaired.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  5. Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Comply with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in security camera and access control installations preferred, but not required.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Physical dexterity and the ability to perform labor-intensive tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Understanding of video security systems and access control technology.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Installation Skills:
    • Experience with mounting and wiring security cameras and access control devices.
    • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in installations.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues with security systems.
    • Ability to perform maintenance and upgrades on existing systems.
  • Physical Dexterity:
    • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
    • Good hand-eye coordination for precise installation work.
  • Time Management:
    • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple installations and service calls efficiently.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

    • Strong communication skills to explain system functions and features to clients.
