The Licensed Lead Clinician (Lead Specialist, Child Well Being) serves as the primary point of contact and lead for matters related to child well-being at DHS sites.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and provide supervision for a team of clinicians, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and adherence to established protocols.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote and support child well-being within the organization.
• Collaborate with site management and other stakeholders to address child well-being concerns and develop effective interventions.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to staff, identifying training needs and facilitating ongoing education.
• Monitor and analyze program data to assess the effectiveness of child well-being initiatives and recommend improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with current best practices and research in the field of child well-being and trauma-informed care.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in behavioral health or related field; doctoral degree preferred
• Licensed Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Doctor level prepared psychologist (LP) or equivalent within the state(s)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of child development and trauma-informed care
• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of current best practices in child well-being and trauma-informed care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Understanding of the unique challenges and needs of children in crisis or trauma situations
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel as required
• Successful completion of background check and drug test
