What You’ll Be Doing:
We are looking for an experienced leader for the role of Manufacturing Engineering Manager, New Product Introduction (NPI). This leader will play a pivotal role bringing Amogy’s products from the design phase to pilot-scale and full-scale manufacturing. This individual will be the primary manufacturing leader working with design, engineering, prototyping teams, and manufacturing team for Amogy’s new product introductions. The manager will provide expertise on manufacturability, component sourcing and design considerations (design for manufacturing) to enhance manufacturability, quality, assembly, testing and serviceability of Amogy’s new products.
- Act as primary liaison between product development engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and operations, with focus on manufacturing planning, supply chain management and quality assurance for new products
- Manage, direct, and oversee NPI manufacturing engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting every phase of manufacturing from low volume pilots to high volume product manufacturing.
- Provide manufacturing engineering guidance on component sourcing and selection process to ensure optimal quality, cost-effectiveness, and supplier reliability.
- Collaborate across procurement, engineering, and supply chain teams to assess potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Provide recommendations to design teams on equipment and instrumentation specifications and review vendor’s drawings and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and test teams to ensure that the selected equipment, instruments, procedures, and practices meet product and manufacturing verification and validation requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the business leaders in engineering, manufacturing, procurement and operations to develop and implement a quality management system (QMS) consistent with the ISO9001 standards.
Requirements
The minimum requirements we seek:
- BS/MS in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering and 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and design.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, process equipment (reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.), instrumentation (sensors, flow meters, transmitters, etc.), mechanical standards (API, ASTM, ASME, etc.), electrical (IEC60079, etc.), Safety (IEC61511, etc.), and design principles.
- Experience in deploying new or significantly modified production facilities and taking those to successful production launch.
- Expertise in executing within a robust ISO9001 quality management system.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing, interpreting, and providing feedback on engineering and vendor technical documents, schematics, and specifications.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including mentorship, team collaboration, and the ability to lead multiple projects independently.
- SolidWorks/CATIA 3D modeling and drafting experience.
- Familiar with PLM software, Propel or 3DX preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of ASME Y14.5 drafting standards and inspection implementation for Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
