Full Job Description

Channel Ship Services Limited (CSS) is seeking a skilled Offshore LBL (Long Baseline) Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting accurate underwater surveys using LBL positioning systems to support various offshore operations.

As an Offshore LBL Surveyor, you will work on exciting projects that contribute to the growth of the maritime industry while utilizing advanced technology to ensure reliable data collection and analysis.

Software:

  • 4DNAV
  • Sonardyne Fusion
  • Visual Soft DVR
  • MS Office Suite

 

2 X ROV

  • Standard ROV Sensors
  • Multibeam ( possible) equipment on vessel- currently not scheduled for this time frame

Responsibilities

  • Conduct LBL surveys in offshore environments, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain LBL positioning equipment and systems.
  • Collect, process, and analyze survey data to produce accurate positional information and documentation.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to understand survey requirements and goals.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on survey findings, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor survey progress and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior surveyors and crew members as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Offshore LBL Surveyor, particularly in the maritime industry.
  • Strong knowledge of LBL positioning systems and underwater survey techniques.
  • Proficient in using various survey equipment and software relevant to LBL surveying.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in data collection.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Adaptability to work in challenging offshore environments.
  • Valid driver's license and passport.
  • Offshore certification and training (e.g., BOSIET) preferred.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
