Full Job Description
Key Activities and Accountabilities
• Run equipment on wireline service tools when applicable.
• Know hydraulic calculations on downhole equipment areas and forces
• Flow test well w/positive & adjustable choke
• All duties as required by Trinity Tool Operating Procedures
• With minimal supervision performing maintenance functions such as repairs, assembles, & disassemble of equipment in a safe and professional manner
• Able to operate and maintain all service tool equipment
• Responsible for the safe maintenance and repair of service tool equipment
• Train lower-level supervisors on services and products
• Perform major repairs without supervision of QA/QC Supervisors
• Recognize and communicate the need for new tools and equipment
• Identify and communicate the need for parts for inventory and replacement
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Ensures paperwork documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basis
• Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and guidelines
• Promotes and takes an active part in the Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBS) or STAR process
• Under limited supervision, aids Tool Technicians during maintenance functions such as repairs, assembly & disassembly of Blackhawk equipment.
• Inventory and restock the Project Manager’s toolbox.
• Perform pre-check operations (i.e., operate & load cement head in shop prior to shipping out equipment, ensure equipment loaded meets job requirements and application).
• Serve as a mentor to lower-level Project Managers.
• Manages rig staff and crew to facilitate job
• Formulates and conducts pre-job meetings onsite with all rig crew and associated 3rd parties to maximize the probability of a good job, as-engineered and obtain zero personnel injury
• Operates a series of wireless components and valves during job to ensure integrity of the fluids/chemicals being deployed downhole and ensuring complete well control
• Manages rig crew picking up and inserting tools and assemblies into drill string for Well Construction and or Well Intervention
Requirements
Job Knowledge and Qualifications Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:
• Must have a high school diploma from an accredited school or GED
• Must have at least 6 years in offshore experience in the oil and gas industry, 2 or more in Deepwater or 4 Shelf
Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificates Required:
• Must be able to travel on ground transportation as well as rotary and fixed wing aircraft
• Must have Well Control Certification
• Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Able to handle high-paced workflow.
• Must be dependable.
• Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Must exhibit a positive attitude during work performance.
• Must understand Surge and other reports or running procedures generated by Engineering and how they relate to field operations.
• Accept direction and constructive criticism in a positive manner and share positive and negative guidance effectively with subordinates.
• Available to work when needed and communicates with supervisor when conflicts arise.
• Employee must be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and possess the ability to draw, interpret bar graphs, and preform intermediate mathematical and measurement computations.
