Full Job Description
- Provide project engineering with a focus on transportation projects and public transportation clients throughout the Texas Region.
- Prepare Hydrology/Hydraulic studies, technical writing in the form of memorandums, design documents, and design plans and specifications for transportation projects.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of stormwater conveyance systems. Knowledge with the bridge hydraulics and scour analysis is plus.
- Assist with developing scopes of work, associated budgets, preparing final design plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
- Work independently as well as assist groups of medium to large teams of professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4+ years of relevant experience working on transportation-related projects, specializing in drainage design, hydrological, and hydraulic analyses.
- EIT certification (ability to obtain PE within one year preferred).
- Previous work experience on TxDOT projects is preferred.
- Experience with Microstation, Openroads, Geopak Drainage, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and HY-8.
- Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and SWMM is plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
