The Regional Manager of Operations will oversee all construction activities within a designated region, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with corporate goals and drive regional growth. Identify new market opportunities and lead initiatives to capture them.
- Project Oversight: Monitor and manage all construction projects within the region, ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and quality benchmarks.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, site supervisors, and support staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for regional projects. Ensure projects are delivered within budget and financial targets are met.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies. Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with projects and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and drive improvement initiatives.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on regional operations, project status, and financial performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within the region as needed.
- OSHA 30 Certification is a plus.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of utility construction – HDD, aerial, and fiber pulling and splicing
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
