Responsibilities:
- Analyze current manufacturing processes, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
- Gather data, including throughput, defect rates, and cycle times, to identify trends and areas for optimization
- Prioritize initiatives based on how they impact efficiency, quality, and cost savings
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to guide efforts, focusing on eliminating waste, optimizing workflows, and enhancing efficiency
- Implement changes to processes, utilizing advanced technology and tools where applicable
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), instructions, and visual aids, to ensure consistency and compliance
- Train and mentor team members on processes, technologies, and quality control measures
- Continuously monitor production data to assess the effectiveness of implemented changes
- Implement quality control measures to ensure standards are consistently
- Evaluate ROI for proposed cost-saving initiatives and prioritize them based on impact
- Communicate regular updates on process improvements, challenges, and potential issues with team members and management
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for process improvements
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing processes and quality management
Requirements
- Available for project work, have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least three years of experience in a similar role
- Strong technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines
- Ability to problem-solve issues, develop corrective actions, and communicate clearly
- Solid understanding of high-volume manufacturing methods, problem-solving, implementation, execution, process development, and lean manufacturing
- Good written and oral communication skills, and skilled at using MS Office
- Experience with GD&T, reading blueprints, and using CAD software
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
