About the role
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Sales Interns to join the Buxton Sales team for the Summer. A Sales Intern will work closely with and support our sales team in achieving sales goals and objectives. This internship program offers a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the sales process and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced sales environment.
The internship will consist of three rotating sessions:
- Session 1: May 20 – June 14 | Cold Calling and Skill Building (outbound motion using SalesLoft)
- Session 2: June 17 – July 12 | Sales Operations and continued SDR responsibilities
- Session 3: July 15 – August 9 | Running Successful Demos and continued SDR responsibilities
Where you'll work
This is an in-office position at our headquarters in Fort Worth, TX. The internship will run from May 20, 2024, to August 9, 2024.
What you'll do
- Support the sales team in achieving sales goals and targets
- Assist in lead generation and qualification
- Research potential clients and assist in creating targeted sales strategies
- Attend sales meetings and assist in presenting sales proposals
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement sales campaigns
- Participate in sales training and workshops to develop sales skills
- Update and maintain the sales database and CRM system
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports
Requirements
Basic qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in business administration, marketing, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred qualifications
- Basic knowledge of sales principles and techniques
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Performance standards:
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Actively participates in training sessions and workshops
- Consistently meets or exceeds goals for talk time, dials, emails, and meetings set
- Effectively collaborates with sales and marketing teams
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in the sales database and CRM system
Please note that this is a paid internship position. The hourly pay rate is $20.00 with incentives aligned to competitions / activities. As an intern, you will not be eligible for the full-time employee benefits package. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, as we are dedicated to providing a safe and secure work environment for all Buxton stakeholders.
