Job Summary

The Common Market Texas, a nonprofit regional farm food distributor, is searching for a dynamic Sales Partnership Director. This role requires building and managing strong relationships with external partners, such as school districts, hospitals, universities, and other community-serving organizations. As the Sales Partnerships Director, you will have the opportunity to expand the reach and impact of The Common Market's mission. As the Sales Partnership Director, you will be responsible for expanding sales partnerships, prospecting potential partners, negotiating contracts, collaborating with internal teams, monitoring sales data and market trends, delivering engaging presentations and proposals, and representing The Common Market at industry events. This role involves working in the office and in the field- cold calling, scheduling meetings, and presenting the value of local and regional food systems. This exciting opportunity allows you to make a meaningful contribution to a mission-driven organization that is transforming the food system in Texas.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnership management, preferably in the food or agriculture industry
  • Extensive knowledge and passion for sustainable food systems and local food
  • Demonstrated history of successfully building and managing partnerships, with a focus on achieving revenue goals
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and remotely, while also fostering collaboration with internal teams
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Willingness to travel within Texas as needed to meet with partners and attend industry events
  • Location: Houston, TX - Candidates located within Texas and willing to frequently travel to Houston and Austin will be considered
