Salad and Go is seeking a Sanitation Manager to manage the Food Processing Plant sanitation program, policies, and procedures. Must have a strong attention to details. Advance management and leadership skills, knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
As Sanitation Manager, you will:
- Develop and update the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Maintain and update the Master Sanitation Program.
- Training all Sanitation staff to correctly use the sanitation chemicals, including concentration of the chemicals. (All staff are to be trained annually in chemical usage and sanitation).
- Conduct daily GMP inspection of the facility after the sanitation is completed and write out any work orders or corrective action observed during the inspection.
- Develop the labor model for equipment and process to determine the right head count for Equipment and Sanitation Process
- Manage the Sanitation budget and industrial plant cleaning and production supply items. (Gloves, smocks, aprons, sleeves, aprons)
- Works closely with the QC manager to ensure the environmental program and pre-operational process are effective.
- Ensure all FDA and HACCP requirements are met on a daily and nightly basis.
- Responsible for supporting food safety and quality in the plant.
Minimum Requirements:
- A four-year bachelor’s degree in food science, Quality, Biological Sciences, Engineering, or other related field, related background is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years in Food Manufacturing Sanitation Management experience is required and a strong knowledge of industry’s best practices for food safety, and sanitation.
- A strong knowledge of food safety regulations; FDA Guidelines.
- Understand and have knowledge of GMP, FDA, NSF, BRC, SQF, GFSI audits. HACCP and OSHA requirements.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
