Who You Are:
Museum of Ice Cream is looking for a Senior Bartender who are ambitious, adaptable, collaborative and are excited to be a real life embodiment of the Museum of Ice Cream brand.
You should be fearless in engaging with strangers, passionate about entertaining, and adept at bringing joy and smiles to others. Your ability to energize a diverse group and craft an enchanting and magical museum experience will be essential.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Enthusiastically sell beverages, maintaining high energy while transitioning seamlessly between bar and table service. Engage customers effectively and encourage them to enjoy multiple drinks. A genuine passion for sales and customer interaction is essential.
- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting kegs on tap, inventory management, and SpaceMan margarita machines.
- Accurately prepare beverage orders according to specified methods and recipes, ensuring items are properly recorded in the point-of-sale system..
- Prepare all food products, mixers, syrups, and other ingredients following prescribed methods and recipes.
- Train the preparation team and bartenders.
- Conduct evaluations and performance reviews for the prep and bar teams.
- Analyzing inventory levels in relation to sales
- Implement on-site experience enhancements
- Perform inventory counts regularly.
- Assist guests with beverage menus, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the offerings.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to company standards.
- Observe all state and federal laws regarding food and alcohol service, including maintaining current certifications.
- Maintain beverage inventory at proper serving temperatures and restock the service bar with liquor, beer, wine, soft drinks, mixers, fruit, and necessary equipment before the end of each shift.
- Assist in washing and restocking glassware for bar drinks, and guest use.
- Clean and maintain all equipment and utensils necessary for job performance. Report any equipment issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Read and understand tickets, including menu items and modifications.
Requirements
The Necessities and Nice-to-Haves:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Open availability, including holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas). Immediate start required.
- Minimum of 4 years of bartending and customer service experience in high-volume or heavily trafficked establishments.
- Proficient with POS systems, including reading and understanding tickets.
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
- Food Handler/ServeSafe certification is a plus.
- Capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 40 pounds).
- Skilled in fostering connections within diverse groups.
- Calm and relaxed in potential conflict situations.
- Strong team player with a desire to work collaboratively.
- Effective communicator and active listener.
- Open to giving and receiving constructive criticism.
- Able to multitask with meticulous attention to detail.
- Adaptable and able to improvise under various circumstances.
- Wine and spirit knowledge mandatory

Job Type : Full-Time, Part-Time
Pay : $24.00 per hour (no tips) plus a monthly bonus structure based on revenue targets.
Schedule:
- Open availability, including holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas).
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Food Handler/ServeSafe certification is a plus.
Shift Availability:
Availability for core hours (32-40 hours):
Thursday: 2 PM - 10 PM
Friday-Sunday: 2 PM - 10:30 PM
Monday: 12 PM - 8:30 PM
