Senior Consultant/Managing Consultant: C1 Chemicals (US)

THE ROLE:

To lead NexantECA thinking and client work in C1 chemicals, which includes ammonia, NPK and other fertilizers, agricultural chemicals, methanol, and their derivatives. Contribute expertise and knowledge to drive opportunities, execute consulting engagements and develop multi-client products, potentially including project management and sales/business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Primary: Develop thought leadership in long term trends for C1 chemicals. Responsibilities will be global with a regional focus as appropriate. Liaise with C1 Chemicals and Fertilizer leadership.
  • Act as a global “subject matter expert” in the markets, providing insights and developing market leading thinking
  • Develop solutions for clients concerning issues in the value chains, including long term forecasts of supply, demand and trade, pricing and profitability
  • Provide product, market, and business evaluations and formulate strategies
  • Perform technology assessments and techno-economic analysis
  • Work across a broad range of C1 products
  • Meet internal time and budget constraints
  • Prepare reports and presentations describing the results of projects
  • Assist and support team members in all aspects of engagement delivery
• Secondary: Contribute within NexantECA’s C1 Chemicals and Fertilizer team as it relates to business development and sales generation, including sales of consulting engagements and multi-client products.
  • Work closely with senior industry managers and executives to build strong, ongoing client relationships

  • Develop and convert proposals to client engagements
• Secondary: Management Responsibilities:
  • Lead project execution and management to deliver quality results to our clients in a timely and profitable manner
  • Work with NexantECA’s senior management team to shape and grow the future of our consulting activities globally
