Senior Software Engineer in Test
(Pytest)
THE ROLE:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you are an expert at developing software solutions from start to finish. You must be able to work independently, be creative with your solutions and think on your feet.
You will serve as an in-house expert, both for managers from other departments who need software solutions and the less experienced staff within the Engineering department. You will also be responsible for keeping the project on track, documenting everything and keeping proprietary information confidential.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, primarily using Pytest.
- Design, write, and execute comprehensive test suites and test cases.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand features and technical implementation.
- Identify, record, and document thoroughly any bugs and inconsistencies.
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Implement testing strategies that align with the fast-paced and innovative nature of the company.
- Provide insights and inputs for improving application quality and testing efficiency.
- Directly interacting with customers and sales to quickly resolve software issues.
- Work in a remote setup, effectively collaborating across different time zones.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Testing Expertise: At least 5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automated testing.
- Pytest Proficiency: Extensive experience with Python and modern testing tools like Pytest and Selenium for writing and maintaining test cases and automation frameworks.
- Development Practices: Proficiency in Git, command line interface (CLI) tools, and contemporary development methodologies, including agile and test-driven development.
- Secure Development: Familiarity and facility with secure development practices, including OWASP Top 20, passive and dynamic code-scanning, and peer review.
- Automation Skills: Proven track record of setting up, maintaining, and optimizing test automation environments.
- CI/CD Experience: Familiarity with Jenkins and/or other CI/CD pipelines and tools, and the ability to integrate automated tests.
- Diagnostic Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in debugging and root cause analysis.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with development teams and internal customers.
- Remote Collaboration: Effective at working in a remote environment, experienced in using collaboration tools like Slack and Zoom.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with networking protocols (IPv4/6, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, etc.) and router/switch configuration or infrastructure automation is highly advantageous.
- Experience with using and testing Terraform.
