Full Job Description
Seeking a Sports Medicine Doc, Part Time to join our practice. Candidates should excel in fast paced environments, express a willingness to learn, be passionate about what they do and ideally have a strong background in orthopedics/ sports and pain management. We are rapidly growing and have unique opportunities available!
We are looking for an onsite provider to join our team!
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following areas (subject to change):
- Complete full physical exam, obtain complete medical history and records including identifying data, chief complaints, illnesses, previous medical or family histories, or psycho-social characteristics
- Interpret and integrate data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan
- Collaborate with other physicians in managing acute and log-term medical needs of patient
- Administer Trigger Point injections and Inter-articular injections.
- Regenerative medicine therapies a plus
- Examines patients to determine discomfort level and cause of pain
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies
- Diagnoses and treats diseases, disorders and injuries based on patient’s medical history and results of physical assessment to determine extent of pain, help diagnose condition, or manage pain
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding procedures performed; always promoting wellness and health maintenance
- Maintains a positive attitude, is compassionate and has great communication and problem-solving skills
- Coordinates additional care such as physical therapy, psychological therapy, and rehabilitation programs to offer patients a comprehensive treatment plan with a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of their pain
- Provides direct Pain Management oversight utilizing the most minimally effective dosage regime in compliance with regulations
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
- Conducts chart reviews
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- Upholds company vision and values
- Performs other duties consistent with the above responsibilities

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
BC/BE in Texas
