We are seeking our next Talent Acquisition Coordinator who will be all-in on our mission and who will be passionate about finding the right talent for Amarillo College and will provide complex human resources support. This role is pivotal in supporting our organization's success by spearheading the hiring and onboarding process.
*This is an in-person position based in Amarillo, Texas. Candidates must be able to work on-site during regular business hours.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, or 6+ years of overall Human Resources experience will be considered.
Preferred: SHRM Certification
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Required: 2 or more years of experience in Human Resources.
Preferred: 2 or more years of experience in Talent Acquisition and Recruiting.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
- Coordinate job postings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and facilitate candidate communication.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the administrative assistant's productivity and growth.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement recruitment strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
- Lead efforts to identify and attract top talent through various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and partnerships with educational institutions.
- Conduct initial phone screens or interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and cultural fit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Gather and analyze recruitment and onboarding data, including metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, retention rates, and candidate satisfaction. Compile data from multiple sources, including applicant tracking systems, HR databases, and performance evaluations.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, utilizing charts, graphs, and other visual aids as needed.
- Provide insightful analysis of recruitment and onboarding data, highlighting key metrics and trends. Interpret data to extract actionable insights and recommendations for optimizing our talent acquisition strategies.
- Continuously improve the candidate experience by addressing inquiries, providing feedback, and ensuring a positive impression of the organization.
- Identify training needs for the Administrative Assistant and provide training or access to relevant resources.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Comprehensive understanding of recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Familiarity with relevant employment laws and regulations, including equal employment opportunity (EEO) guidelines, fair hiring practices, and immigration laws.
- Basic knowledge of human resources principles and practices, including HRIS systems, employee relations, and performance management.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HRIS platforms.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct, maintaining the trust and confidence of all parties involved in the recruitment process.
- Drive and motivation to achieve recruitment goals and objectives, with a focus on delivering high-quality talent in a timely manner.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.
Conditions of Employment: All employment offers are contingent upon satisfactory completion of the pre-hire process, including a criminal background screening.
Salary: Amarillo College Staff Salary Schedule grade 13. Placement within the pay grade dependent upon candidate’s education, experience, credentials and skills.
