Full Job Description
Sigma Defense is seeking a mid-level Technical Writer to document cloud-based programs to include various processes and procedures. The Technical Writer will work closely with our engineering team and leadership to capture information and standardize it across multiple teams and services to ensure a streamlined approach to operations.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and communication skills. They are adept at multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate must have a proven ability to conduct research in order to assist in documentation.

Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in government editing of technical or industry-based documentation.
- Ability to edit and produce user manuals, installation guides, and technical specifications.
- Must be a citizen of the United States (no dual citizenship).
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure Cloud is preferred.
Programs/Software Experience:
- JIRA
- Confluence
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Adobe Acrobat
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field of study.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain an active, DoD issued TS/SCI security clearance.
- A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
- Create high quality documentation that helps users understand complex technical concepts or procedures.
- Work closely with engineering team, developers, and other Technical or Programmatic Leads to produce clear and concise documentation.
- Take responsibility for the preparation, reviewing, revision, and sustainment of technical documentation. This will include software, systems, and network engineering related documentation.
- Assist with development and modernization of government systems, sub-systems, and components through engineering integrations.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually.
