Transportation Engineer

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Transportation Engineer in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

• The Transportation Engineer will work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and must have excellent communication, strong data and analytical, and documentation skills.
• The successful candidate will function as a professional engineering discipline lead on conventional projects and may serve as a Project Manager on small to moderate scope multidiscipline projects with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to the candidate’s discipline field.
• The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a professional engineer in meeting project contractual and quality control requirements on transportation projects.
• The candidate will participate in the collection and analysis of data, technical analysis of transportation projects of varying size and scope, development of recommendations, and report and presentation development.
• The candidate will provide support to their clients on the state, regional, and local levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 4+ years of experience performing transportation planning/engineering activities
• Texas PE licensure preferred, or ability to obtain within six months of hire
• Proficient in production software and construction document production
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
• Strong writing and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail along with overall quality control and management
• Conscientious of project schedules and deadlines involving deliverables (including interim deadlines)
• Strong teamwork skills working on projects and with staff
