Video Editor

We're seeking an in-house Video Editor responsible for editing a wide range of agency film projects. We need someone who understands storytelling and is an expert at crafting compelling case studies and reels that serve as cinematic showcases. This role also touches client projects from commercials and branded content to social media campaigns. Your expertise in video editing will help bring our creative visions to life, ensuring that every piece of content is polished, engaging, and aligned with our agency's high standards.

Responsibilities:

• Client Project Editing: Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, client-ready videos that tell a compelling story and meet the project’s objectives.
• Case Study Development: Create engaging case studies that highlight our most successful campaigns, focusing on storytelling, impact, and results.
• Spec Reel Creation: Develop and update agency spec reels in order to prove out and visualize ideas before they are fully produced.
• Collaboration: Work closely with creative directors, producers, and other team members to understand project goals, provide input on concepts, and ensure final edits align with the creative vision.
• Quality Control: Ensure all video content is of the highest quality, maintaining consistency in style, pacing, and brand guidelines across all projects.
• Content Management: Organize and manage video assets, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and archiving of footage.
• Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and software, bringing fresh ideas to the table and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in video editing.

Requirements

• Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX. We are not considering remote applicants or work visa seekers at this time.
• 5+ years experience as a video editor, preferably within an agency or creative environment.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar.
• Strong storytelling skills with an eye for detail and pacing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A creative mindset with a passion for crafting compelling visual narratives.
• Experience in creating case studies and agency reels is a major preference.
• Familiarity with motion graphics and sound design is an advantage.
