Yard Shipping & Receiving Associate

Our innovative and growing company is hiring for a shipping / receiving yard associate. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications, but have sufficient experience and talent.

Responsibilities for shipping / receiving

• Retrieve requested products from warehouse
• Input all shipments into the computer
• Ship small parcels via UPS and FedEx
• Receive incoming shipments and compare items to work orders provided by supervisor
• Count items to ensure that the correct number have been received
• Match order information in order cards with information on picked items to ensure conformity
• Coordinating, loading, and unloading shipments and receipts
• This is primarily a shipping and receiving position that will be lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, operating pallet jacks (both powered and non powered) and entering data into a computer
• Unload shipments throughout the day that come in daily

Qualifications for shipping / receiving

• Willingness to learn systems
• Count and order skids, boxes, pkg
• Label materials
• Collect paperwork on closed orders
• Interact with headquarters personnel, buyers, trucking companies, coworkers, leads and managers
• Knowledge of or experience with warehouse equipment operation (Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, Order Picker) preferred, but not required

Requirements

Prior recent experience

Computer knowledgeable (word doc, excel, etc)

Bilingual preferred

Prior experience with cycle counting

Prior experience with quality control

Benefits

Temp to Hire position

Monday-Friday 8am-5:30pm (weekends as needed)

Weekly pay

Payrate: $16.00-19.00
