Full Job Description
• Create and maintain client specific processes for application approval to ensure applications are installed per documented policies and procedures.
• Prepare client systems, and associated applications and equipment for various environments, per project requirements. Configure the systems, per documented policies and procedures.
• Actively participate on project teams that develop custom solutions for core business initiatives.
• Combines knowledge of client core business activities and technical savvy, to effectively design robust, scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with client hardware, operating system software and third party applications; ability to analyze and escalate issues where necessary.
• Provide inventory and asset management and procurement support for both hardware and software.
• Document installation and troubleshooting procedures for all approved software and make available to other members of the Business Planning & Support team and related support teams.
• Provide system support for changes and enhancements following the accepted change management protocols.
• Participate in the development and completion of testing activities related to the analyst's specific platform.
• Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the core business solution vendors. Serve as a technical liaison between these vendors and business units.
• Understand and adhere to security policies and procedures, as they pertain to the Windows client platform.
Requirements
Top Skills You Should Possess:
• SCCM, Windows 10
• Install Shield, GPO knowledge
• Packaging (MSI,MSIX,MST and MSI upgrade)
Additional Requirements:
• Three to five (3-5) years of experience in software support/packaging
• MSI creation and modifications as per the client requirement’s
• Packaging experience with Install Shield or Similar packaging studio
• Software Deployment using Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
• Experience packaging software for installation on Windows 10 and windows 11
• Experience automating Software installs
• Working knowledge of GPOs and Active Directory
• Knowledge of Windows security components and permissions
• Degree in Computer Science or work experience equivalent
• Application version control as part of upgrades
• Providing L1 and L2 support post for the packaged apps
Preferred Qualifications:
• MS Certification preferred, not required
