SUMMARY:
The Behavior Health Technician / BHT will work one-on-one with students in ABA-based clinics implementing individualized instructional and behavioral strategies. These clinics provide Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) to children aged 3-5, integrating closely with early intervention services. This full-day program aims to ensure a seamless transition between pre-school special education classrooms and the clinic setting, promoting continuous skill development.
- Location: Chester county- Downingtown, West Chester, Coatesville based on enrollment
- Schedule: Approximately 8am - 4pm based on student enrollment
- Generous PTO and paid holidays
- Salary/year range $36,000-$38,000 (based on years of experience)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work one-on-one with students to implement instructional and behavioral strategies outlined in their Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs)
- Support the development of communication, social, and adaptive skills through structured and naturalistic teaching methods
- Prompt interventions in the areas of: behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and peer interaction skills based on the treatment plan goals provided by a Behavior Analyst / BCBA
- Collect real-time data on target behaviors and skill acquisition using digital tools and software
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field preferred
- At least 1 year experience working with children with developmental and behavioral challenges, preferably in an educational or clinical setting
- Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to collect and document data accurately and efficiently

- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Human Services FBI – Use code 1KG738
- TB Screening (current within 3 months)
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
