Job Summary:
The Benefit Consultant (“BC”) Trainer plays a critical role supporting Learning and Development Programs and aligning business objectives within the sales team. This role is responsible for maintaining the standards of REE's Sales talent by providing comprehensive training at the start of employment and as needed throughout employment. Their duties include working closely with Sales leadership and team managers to determine areas for employee improvement, developing training courses for new and existing employees and establishing methods to track employee performance after the completion of training. The Trainer role requires a proactive individual who can work closely with Sales teams to drive program performance, improve collaboration, and contribute to the overall success of REE Medical.
What is expected in this role:
- Utilizing the ADDIE learning Model to conduct Analysis, Design and Develop curriculums and learning materials, Implement learning, and, finally, Evaluate the results of all sales specific learning outcomes.
- Collaborating with Product and Sales SMEs, supervisors, managers, and other leadership to understand Department Goals to develop learning structure and content that aligns with the targeted results.
- This can include developing content for new products, increasing knowledge of current products, compliance updates, CRM or other Sales Tech training, VA regulations and qualifications, etc.
- Ensuring all regulations and processes as established by REE’s Compliance team are properly trained to all new sales team members, along with safeguarding personally identifiable information / personal health information in accordance with HIPAA laws.
- Ensuring all learning materials and content are up to date, noting and maintaining for business shifts, compliance shifts, changes in process, changes to job skills, etc.
- Collaborating with the Training team ensuring different types of learning content and materials can be released in accordance with each learning project plan.
- Collaborating with Sales Managers and Supervisors to create ongoing learning and coaching opportunities to support upskilling the sales teams.
- Serving as the lead coordinator in all “on-site” or live training sessions. Ensuring project coordination of communication, invites, materials, scheduling, etc. are accounted for and executed as the owner of the delivery.
- Serving as the lead on Sales content delivery. This can include conducting live sessions, webinars, videos, etc.
- Tracking all learning activities and metrics accordingly to understand attendance, engagement, feedback for improvement, and retention.
- This can also include screening or shadowing calls to support the ongoing diligence in compliance and upskilling of the sales team.
How success is measured in this role:
- Engagement Rate: Total engagement and participation rate for the different learning programs, including voluntary and mandatory training.
- Completion Rate: Successful completion of training programs.
- Drop-off Rate: Rate of dropouts in the training programs.
- Assessment Pass Rate: Percentage of employees passing different levels of assessment.
- Employee Satisfaction: Overall satisfaction of learning programs and integration of feedback from employees.
- Manager Satisfaction: Satisfaction from the managers on content and ability to translate into productivity.
Requirements
What you need in this role to be successful:
- 2+ years of experience as an Inside Sales Representative or sales representative.
- NOTE, The BC Trainer role will require regular travel to Surprise, AZ if not local to the area. This can be upwards of 25%+ annually or about 1 week every month for an onsite requirement.
- 1+ Year of proven experience as an Instructional Designer, Corporate Trainer, or Teacher where you have gone through the full development and implementation of learning program.
- At least 1 year of experience working within a CRM. (ZoHo, Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.)
- It is a plus if you have trained teams on similar technologies!
- Previous experience working with the Veteran community or within the VA regulations is a plus!
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and navigating multiple platforms including Salesforce, ZoHo, Slack, Teams, etc.
- Comfortability being on the phone whether sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Proven knowledge and working experience using learning theories, techniques, practices, and models including ADDIE, Cognitive Learning Theory, Bloom’s Taxonomy, OTJ, etc.
- Proven experience delivering training such as in a classroom setting, 1:1 Instruction, Web based video, Async modules, etc.
- Familiarity with different Learning tools and software with proven experience in reporting metrics to leadership is a plus!
- Expert level written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of communicating in a remote-first environment and ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and empathy.
- Experience navigating changing priorities and supporting leaders and teams through times of change.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for facilitating effective collaboration across various departments and levels of the organization. Including the ability to navigate difficult conversations with empathy and focusing on building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with an eye for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Ability to think strategically while still maintaining a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and well-organized mindset.
- Goal-driven approach with experience coaching learners, with the ability to motivate and inspire towards achieving common goals.
- Proactive thinking, consistently foreseeing and preparing for forthcoming challenges or opportunities.
- Experience in start-up or early-stage environments with little or no defined infrastructure or processes is a plus!
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, or organizational psychology. 3 additional years of experience in either a sales or training capacity can be in lieu of the degree requirement.
- ATD’s Certification in Talent Development or any other learning certification is a plus!
