Position Overview: Cure HHT is seeking a dynamic and experienced strategic communicator and marketer to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Community Engagement, the ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission and possess a strategic mindset with a strong ability to execute marketing and communication initiatives that drive community engagement, furthers Cure HHT’s position as a cutting-edge organization that drives science progress for our disease, and increases excitement to support of our mission via increased donations. This individual will play a key role in driving engagement through the creation of dynamic content marketing campaigns through digital and print channels. We are looking for a creative thinker who can help Cure HHT take it's marketing efforts to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of digital marketing strategies, including wholistic management of email marketing campaigns and social media content creation.
- Manage Cure HHT's design agency partner, ensuring assets are delivered on-time, are dynamic and reflect brand guidelines.
- Grow engagement and donations from the Cure HHT community base by developing segmented communication strategies to reach key stakeholders with targeted, relevant messaging.
- Assist in the development of refreshing Cure HHT's brand identity, helping to re-energize our brand and position our organization as a cutting-edge catalyst that drives science forward.
- Develop new-to-world major donor content marketing strategies.
- Develop content for our organization’s website (curehht.org), ensuring content is up-to-date, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintain communications calendar, working to develop new branded content series that drives readership.
- Write content for impactful print assets -- including brochures, flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials, to support various outreach and awareness initiatives.
- Lead the build-out of marketing assets for fundraising campaigns, collaborating closely with the development team to create compelling content that drives donations and support.
- Develop marketing campaigns and content for the organization’s Therapeutics Development Arm that deliver goals such as successful recruitment of clinical trials and research initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Manage the organization’s email marketing platform, ensuring contacts are up-to-date and information is accurate.
- Creative-thinking to suggest new-to-world marketing and communication campaigns and activities to drive increased engagement amongst community.
- Assist in community management, developing increased engagement by responding to questions and inquiries on social media posts.
- Collaborate with Therapeutic Development team members to develop impactful communications aimed at increasing community knowledge and awareness of our scientific efforts.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in marketing and communications, applying new insights to enhance Cure HHT’s outreach efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing or communications roles, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Proven experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, including campaign creation, segmentation, and analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and branding aesthetics.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for social impact and making a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by rare diseases.
Benefits
This is a full-time, remote position, although individuals living in Maryland are encouraged to work from the office location 2-3 days per week if possible. Applicants must reside in the United States and be able to work during normal business hours on Monday-Friday. Full-time employees are eligible to receive a comprehensive benefits package, including holidays, paid time-off, health insurance (covering medical, dental, prescription drugs, and both short and long-term disability), as well as the option to participate in a 403(b) plan with company matching after meeting the eligibility criteria.
