At Lyst we highly value the customer experience and have the ability to personalise their product and content experiences through technology. With a whole new suite of digital media products ready to go, we now require an experienced and highly ambitious Brand Partnerships Director to advise our partners how best to promote their projects to our high intent shoppers. You will be working closely with our VP Partnerships in a newly developed business unit (media and editorial) and help drive explosive growth for this unit / tribe. The successful entrepreneur will be the first hire in the US and therefore be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive GTM strategy.
This role is best suited for a dynamic, entrepreneurial and ambitious individual that would thrive in a fast paced, high reward environment. You will not only get to work with the biggest brands in the industry, but be able to implement your own on platform ideas benefitting from the suite of talented internal data and product engineers we have at Lyst. No idea is off the table in an age where partners are pushing for digital innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Generate a targeted, holistic country wide business plan to achieve agreed revenue targets based on a qualified set of partners across the US
- Develop the Lyst GTM strategy based on current partner mix and local market knowledge
- Lead with a consultative sales approach through active listening, highly skilled questioning and on the spot problem solving
- Lead the pitch process through to sale with ongoing support from various other business units at Lyst such as design and editorial, ensuring key partner KPI’s are met leading to high conversion ratios
- Execute impactful sales presentations to diverse audiences, adapting strategies based on client needs and effectively conveying product knowledge and passion
- Be highly diligent by accurately utilising our CRM system for pipeline management, partner feedback and cross team information sharing
- Work alongside a dedicated account / project manager who will ensure accurate delivery of the campaign
- Identify any challenges faced when selling to partners and reporting back with practical solutions to improve our ability to convert
- Monitor the digital media landscape always scouting for opportunities to enhance our partner offering
- Consistently building a pipeline of work through action and proactivity resulting in regular face to face and video meetings with decision makers
- Attend industry events representing Lyst and our unique offering

Requirements
- Based in the US with ability to regularly travel across states
- Solid understanding of media partnerships in the US and how they bring incremental value to the partner
- Market leading experience in the fashion industry including senior brand direct and / or media agency contacts that can instantly benefit from working with Lyst
- Proven experience of being able to push towards ambitious revenue goals and possesses the creative thinking to overcome rejection or hurdles
- Able to demonstrate strong content led case studies showing your ability to sell in ideas to top tier stakeholders
- Worked autonomously in the past with proven business development success
- Able to utilise voice / video technology to their maximum when communicating an opportunity
- Proven experience of pitching and converting six and seven figure brand partnership opportunities
- High levels of financial acumen including a clear understanding of account / project profitability
- Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders and the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
- Highly efficient and excited by 'closing the deal' opportunities
- Self starter that requires minimal supervision
- An active problem solver with a positive and proactive attitude
