Full Job Description
The American Connection Corps (ACC) is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic part-time Campus Recruitment & Outreach Specialist to support our outreach and recruitment efforts. This role offers college students a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in community engagement, event planning, and recruitment while contributing to the growth and visibility of the ACC program. Specialists will serve as outreach champions, representing the ACC in their communities by hosting both in-person and virtual information sessions, attending regional events, and supporting the recruitment team with various tasks.
Location: Various campuses across the United States. The ACC program aims to place one intern in each of the following regions: Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, & Pacific Northwest. Priority will be given to candidates in the Midwest & Pacific Northwest Region.
Duration: Two consecutive semesters

- Campus Engagement
- Assist the recruiting team in developing an on-campus engagement strategy by providing unique, creative ideas.
- Attend all campus events, including (but not limited to) Career Fairs, Info Sessions, and speaking to classrooms/organizations.
- Schedule and attend a minimum of 5 on-campus events per semester.
- Community Representation
- Represent the American Connection Corps at local/regional conferences and events to establish relationships, raise awareness, and promote program objectives within the community.
- Attend at least 1 conference/event each semester.
- Relationship Building
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with community and campus organizations to build relationships and support candidate recruitment for the 25-26 cohort.
- Support full-time recruiters in identifying referrals and connections to boost program exposure.
- Use recruitment tools (Handshake, LinkedIn, Loper, etc) to build relationships with potential candidates and guide them through the application process.
- Recruitment Support
- Collaborate with recruitment associates to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and recruitment criteria to post across all recruitment channels & platforms.
- Assist with high-volume application reviews of candidates in the spring including reviewing applications and conducting phone screens.
- Social Media & Communications
- Support social media efforts by assisting in the development and execution of brand marketing campaigns alongside the Communications Manager.

Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a community/technical college or university.
- Willingness to be a campus ambassador for two consecutive semesters.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and engagingly.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of candidates.
- Highly self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, to accommodate events and information sessions.
Compensation and Benefits
- $15/hr (10 hours per week)
- Primarily remote opportunity with some in-person campus events
