Team Lead – Construction Surveillance Technician (TL)
Location: Worldwide Locations
Clearance: ACTIVE Top-Secret
The Team Leader shall receive and implement orders and special instructions from the SSM or Regional Security Officer concerning matters which, affect the security operations of the site. As such they will possess the requisite skills to take care of the team’s administrative work at site while still participating as a working member of the team. The Team Leader is typically called upon by the SSM to become involved with the General Contractor’s foreman to ensure upcoming work requirements are addressed and the requisite staffing is scheduled for the appropriate coverage.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have four (4) active years on the program.
· Must have been on Two (2) construction projects within the past 4 years.
· Construction Surveillance Technicians must have at least five (5) years’ experience in at least one of the following areas of expertise:
a. Construction security surveillance
b. Technical Surveillance Countermeasures
c. Industrial or government security involving counterintelligence
d. Construction quality assurance
e. Hands-on supervisory construction experience
- U.S. Citizen.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Have and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- Active CST certification preferred.
- In good physical health and meet medical requirements for the position.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have Four (4) active years on the program.
- Must have had Two (2) construction projects during that time.
- Experienced in the use of alarm systems, metal detectors, x-ray device, and closed-circuit television systems.
- Capable of reading and speaking English, and be able to write legible, concise reports in English.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement orders and special instructions from the Site Security Manager (SSM) and Regional Security Officer (RSO).
- Operate proposed inspection equipment.
- Utilize knowledge of all construction disciplines, to include civil architectural, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering principles.
- Read and analyze designs and blueprints and recognize the architect's intended use.
- Analyze designs and structural complexities, which are intended to mask an ulterior purpose not intended by the architect.
- Exercise knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, construction principles, and the types of devices used by hostile and friendly intelligence services for the purpose of clandestine surveillance.
- Write detailed reports in English and complete the analyses of issues, findings, and security situations which require staff action.
- Maintain daily logs during their tour of duty.
