The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Research Analyst to perform analysis within the U.S. based pediatric speech-language pathology industry, with a primary focus on services provided by staffing agencies, private practices and intermediaries that contract with schools and school districts. This role will involve conducting comprehensive research to analyze the competitive landscape, contract rates within school districts across various states, and the rates paid to Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in these regions. The Research Analyst will provide strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights to identify areas where demand for SLP services in schools is high and the supply of SLPs is low.

This is a contract position with a specific start and end date with the opportunity to perform additional research related responsibilities in the future.

Deliverables

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of the pediatric speech-language pathology industry, focusing on services provided by staffing agencies and practices contracting with schools and school districts.
• Gather and analyze data on contract rates within school districts, broken down by state and region.  
• Identify open school job aggregator resources 
• Investigate and compile information on the rates paid to SLPs in various states, cities, and towns.
• Perform competitive landscape analysis to understand key players, their market share, and service offerings in the pediatric speech-language pathology staffing industry.
• Utilize research findings to generate insights and make strategic recommendations regarding states, cities, and towns where demand for SLP services in schools is high and supply of qualified SLPs is low.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to present findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with proven experience in conducting market research, competitive analysis, or data analysis within specific industries.  
• Familiarity with pediatric speech-language pathology services and the dynamics of staffing agencies and practices contracting with schools is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate meaningful insights.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Google Sheets is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to work independently
