We are looking for a Contracts Manager (CM) to join our A-team (hybrid*/remote). As a CM at Allucent, you are responsible for working with the Contracts Team, Business Development and Operations in the production and preparation of accurate, legally binding and effective Agreements that protect the interests of Allucent. This position works with Proposal staff and Operations to produce schedules for contracts that accurately reflect the scope of work and budget of awarded projects.
In this role your key tasks will include:
- Manage contracts and change orders drafts through Allucent’s internal approval process before these are sent to the Client.
- Prepares the budget and text of change orders after the specific scope of work has been identified by the Project Manager and approved by the Client.
- Using Allucent Excel budget template and relevant contract templates and working procedures.
- Development and ongoing maintenance of templates and tools to assist in the management of the contract processes, e.g. template CDA, CRSA, MSA.
- Production and negotiation of Client Specific Contracts and Vendor Contracts in Allucent template (with Manager review/input). Review, revision, and negotiation of Client Specific Contracts and Vendor Contracts in client template amended to protect the interests of Allucent, as required.
- Works with Contracts Team in the update, review and development of new templates, processes and tools to assist in the contract processes.
- Provides regular review of contract documentation, working with Contracts Team, to protect the interests of Allucent.
- Reviews contracts ensuring they are correct as per the client’s expectations and protect Allucent’s interests ensuring all contracts have been through the correct internal review procedure.
- Understands and applies appropriate payment types as client needs dictate, including time & materials, fixed priced, and unit priced.
- Participates in client contract negotiation, including group negotiation calls and direct client communication.
- Periodically reviews approved template agreements and recommend standardized changes as new needs are identified or issues are discovered.
- Works with Contracts Team and Finance to build appropriate inflation and exchange rate protection into Allucent contracts and to include payment schedules which enable Allucent to remain ‘cash neutral’.
- Provides back up to Senior Contracts Manager and other Contracts staff as required.
- Attends the daily teleconferences as needed and regular contracts team meetings.
- Updates Customer relationship tool to reflect contract activity.
- Liaise extensively with Contracts Team, Proposals, Business Development and Operations.
- Communicate with external clients as needed during the contracts negotiation process
- Contribute to other areas of business and other duties as assigned
Requirements
To be successful you will possess:
- 2 - 4 years’ experience with pricing, contracts, change orders, budgets, proposals, etc.
- A minimum of 2 - 4 years’ experience within the CRO/Pharmaceutical industry with an understanding of clinical trial processes
- Paralegal certification preferred or equivalent contract review experience
- Technical writing experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of Excel-based bid models for management of clinical trials preferable
- Advanced Excel skills
- Good numerical skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment of a growing company

- Proficiency with various computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
