About You

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Culinary & Operations Analyst to join our team. This role combines culinary, nutrition, and operational tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our online platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in nutrition and culinary arts, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

You will work cross-functionally with the culinary products and food safety team. This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the US. The role is an hourly rate contract position for 3 months with an option to stay full-time, evaluated 2 weeks before the end of the contract period.

What You’ll Do

• Recipe and Meal Database Management: Accurately interpret and input recipes from our distributed chef network to create nutritional data and analyze recipes to ensure compliance with our clients' nutrition standards, making recommendations as needed. Review and edit internal recipes for clarity and consistency. Input new meal information into calorie and macronutrient counting apps.
• Recipe and Client Pipeline Management: Manage a new meal pipeline system for internal and external visibility. Streamline communications with stakeholders, including new meal launches, weekly menu updates, and project communications.
• Data Reporting: Compile and report data on nutritional information, customer feedback, and operational metrics to the senior team for continuous improvement.
• Customer Support: Work closely with the customer service team to help answer questions from customers regarding meals and nutrition.
• Supplier Data Entry: Support the onboarding process for new suppliers by entering necessary data as instructed. Collect and organize information needed for launches.
• Meal Photography Coordination:  Schedule and coordinate meal photography sessions with our in-house photographer based on the meal pipeline and current needs.
• Additional Support: Assist with other weekly tasks such as PDF editing and meal Photoshop.
• Process Improvement: We are all about process improvement and the best person to fill this role will be looking for ways to improve and iterate on our process as they complete the functions above.

Requirements

• Experience working with small companies or teams
• Remote Work Experience: Experience working remotely, with strong self-discipline and time management skills.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in all aspects of work, from data entry to recipe editing.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
• Interest in Nutrition: A strong interest in nutrition, with the ability to identify nutritional errors or make suggestions. Formal RD credentials are not required.

• Culinary Knowledge: A background or interest in culinary arts, understanding the close relationship between culinary and nutrition.

Contract to Hire: The position will start as a contract role, with the potential for permanent employment based on performance.
