The Position:
Infinite Reality is looking to bring on a Director, Accounting. The position will be remotely based in the
continental United States. Reporting to the Company’s SVP, Accounting, the Director, Accounting be a
key leader of the Company’s accounting function and will have the opportunity to work in a challenging
and engaging environment. The Director, Accounting will be play a critical role in developing and
supporting the achievement of financial objectives across Infinite Reality companies during period of
significant growth and change.
The Responsibilities:
● Manage the consolidated period-end financial close process, including timely completion of all
journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for all entities
● Lead, mentor and develop the General Accounting team of four
● Evaluate, develop, implement and monitor accounting policies and procedures for responsible
areas, emphasizing improving timeliness and accuracy, reducing risk and strengthening
compliance
● Manage team, structure and staffing to ensure alignment of department demands
● Work cross-functionally with other departments to assist with execution of company-wide
initiatives
● Prepare and/or review various analyses to ensure transactions are properly accounted for,
including balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses
● Partner with technical accounting to ensure accurate accounting treatment for complex matters
● Drive assessment of current procedures and systems to reduce close timeline
● Continually assess and implement systems, processes and policies due to changes in the
business, regulatory, or accounting standards
● Support the quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors
● Ensure the process for account reconciliations and journal entries are completed timely and
accurately
● Performs ad hoc analysis and projects
Requirements
Qualifications:
● Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related required
● CPA strongly preferred
● 10+ years of progressive accounting experience required
● Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm preferred
● Start-up, IPO or public company experience required
● Strong understanding of GAAP
● NetSuite or similar large ERPs required
● Demonstrated ability to identify root cause issues and provide solutions
● Exceptional attention to detail
● Positive attitude and thrives with change
● Outstanding communication skills and able to operate in a fast-paced environment with a sense
of urgency
● Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
