Overview
Arkadium is seeking a Director of Ad Operations who excels in optimizing ad stacks and is passionate about maximizing programmatic revenue. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop and implement an efficient operational framework. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, detail-oriented, and excels in a high-energy and agile work environment. A deep understanding of Prebid and debugging issues is essential.
Responsibilities
- Utilize deep analytical and technical skills to develop innovative solutions for complex programmatic business challenges.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate across all organizational levels to manage the Programmatic Operations team.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with business partners and programmatic vendors.
- Establish and enhance workflows, processes, and goals to measure and improve product output (quality, conformity, scalability, and sustainability).
- Analyze ad stack performance and recommend optimization techniques to improve programmatic monetization.
- Work closely with account managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between client expectations and monetization deliverables.
Requirements
- 4+ years of senior-level ad operations experience.
- Proven experience in a team lead, project lead, or supervisory role.
- Comfortable interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including SSP (Supply Side Platform), DSP (Demand Side Platform), GAM (Google Ad Manager), and ad operations.
- Demonstrated analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Google Ad Manager, including:
- Order, line item, and creative setup
- Protections and target CPM best practices
- Reporting and reporting automation
- Key values and dimensions
- Prebid variables and reporting
- Ability to analyze programmatic bid data and identify sources of bid activity issues.
- Familiarity with openRTB specs and VAST, VPAID.
- Ability to read and edit Prebid wrapper scripts.
- Understanding of Prebid config settings to optimize setup.
- Browser analysis skills to ensure Prebid is functioning correctly.
- Proficiency in Google Console for bug testing.
- Expert-level Excel skills, including pivot tables.
- Well-versed in analytics, A/B testing, and reporting on test results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous publisher experience and/or relationships.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Existing relationships with major SSPs and DSPs.
- Basic CSS and JS editing abilities for debugging purposes.

For candidates based in the United States and Portugal, this full-time role offers the flexibility of remote work, complemented by occasional in-person events. If you are located outside of these regions, the position will be structured as an independent contractor role.
