Full Job Description
The Director of engineering is responsible for day-to-day technology efforts for Pulse, our core Home Health product offering. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this leader will join a great team that has developed and successfully launched, Pulse to the market. They will be focused on building and supporting high-quality, cloud-native solutions with Microsoft Azure as the foundation. The candidate will focus on both software development and full-stack delivery where all components are integrated into a complete solution. Expected Outcomes:
A successful candidate will deliver significant value and have a meaningful impact to Medalogix’s success. Their ownership of the Product will foster cross team collaboration and high-quality results. They will have successfully integrated with the product development team and helped maintain our culture of execution and innovation. Lastly, they will be a trusted partner to Product Management collaborating on the success of Pulse
• Day-to-day engineering and technology leadership for Pulse • Responsible for Pulse scrum team – a blend of direct and in-direct reports
• Partner with Product Management for backlog management & prioritization, scrum planning, etc.
• Direct manager for application engineers
• Design and build a new product offering leveraging an Azure cloud-native architecture and modern technology stack
• Develop high-quality software with a holistic product mindset (ease of use, functional, performant, secure, available)
• Detailed design and development of new software features following the defined platform architecture
• Contribute to the improvement of our development tools and practices including CI/CD, quality, security, performance, etc.
• Help support current products and platforms ensuring customer satisfaction
• Support our collaborative and innovative team culture that spans the organization
• Mentor, challenge, and grow your peers on the Medalogix technology team
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in leading the development team and building SaaS products in a cloud environment that is multi-tenant and highly scalable
• Hands-on experience with: .NET core, UI Frameworks (Blazor/Razor ,React, Angular), SQL
• A focus on outcomes with an ability to make decisions that are both smart and practical
• Expertise in agile methodologies and related tools with a passion for team success and continuous improvement
• Cloud computing technology experience including serverless, containers, storage architectures, security
• Experience building robust operations architecture to monitor application and system health proactively
• Willingness to work in a highly collaborative, team-based culture
• Prior healthcare industry experience
