Move for Hunger is a national non-profit organization that mobilizes transportation networks to deliver surplus food to communities in need. Operating in a remote work environment, Move For Hunger strives to create a culture of diverse, passionate, growth-minded professionals who work collaboratively and creatively to tackle the issues of hunger and food waste in the US. Our team is fun, innovative, goal-oriented, and driven to put more meals on the table for those in need.
Founded in 2009, Move For Hunger has partnered with 1,200+ moving companies across the nation to encourage their customers to donate their food when they move. We have seen rapid expansion over the past few years within the relocation and multifamily apartment industries - with over 600,000 apartment units working with us. In addition to rescuing food during move out, Move for Hunger also organizes hundreds of food drives, fundraisers, and corporate employee engagement events. In addition, we've expanded our reach to farmers, distributors, CPG and logistics companies in an effort to recover even more fresh food. Since its founding, Our team of 20+ has delivered more than 40 million pounds of food to those in need - enough to provide more than 33 million meals.
About The Role
We're looking for a director who can lead and inspire a team but also has the technical chops and expertise in Pardot (or a comparable email automation platforms). This role requires a deep understanding of email automation platforms and marketing strategies to leverage demand generation, lead nurturing, Pardot's capabilities, and analytics for the organization. As the Director in Marketing Automation & Strategy, you will play an instrumental role in crafting and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies the support the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing:
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Develop and execute a holistic marketing strategy that integrates web, social, PR, events, and email channels.
- Align marketing plans with the organization's overall business goals and objectives.
- Lead and mentor the marketing team, providing guidance on marketing best practices and ensuring the successful execution of campaigns.
- Keep team on track with tools such as Asana & Canva.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and programs to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure the performance of marketing efforts, including GA4.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the leadership team, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Email Automation [Pardot]:
Strategy and Implementation:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies using Pardot to drive lead generation, nurture campaigns, and customer engagement.
- Define and refine customer segments based on organizational strategy.
- Monitor and optimize segmentation performance.
- Stay current with Pardot updates and industry best practices to maximize the platform's capabilities.
Lead Generation and Nurturing:
- Oversee the creation and optimization of lead generation campaigns through Pardot, ensuring alignment with overall marketing and business goals.
- Implement lead nurturing programs to guide prospects through the sales funnel.
- Collaborate with the appropriate team members to ensure seamless integration between Pardot and Salesforce, optimizing lead and data flow.
Campaign Management:
- Plan, execute, and manage end-to-end marketing campaigns, utilizing Pardot's automation features.
- Implement A/B testing and other optimization strategies to enhance campaign performance.
- Utilize Pardot analytics and reporting tools to measure the performance of marketing campaigns and adjust to increase effectiveness.

Requirements
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Proven experience in marketing leadership roles with a focus on Pardot.
- Extensive experience in Pardot or other top email automation platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing automation principles and best practices.
- Comfortable with project management tools such as Asana.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce and the integration with Pardot.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Pardot certification or relevant Salesforce certifications.
- Experience with other marketing technologies and tools (Canva, Hootsuite, Slack, OptinMonster, etc..)
- Familiarity with B2B marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding and use of GA4.
Working Conditions:
- The typical work environment is Remote/Work From Home Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Eastern Time, but can vary based on the needs of the organization and may occasionally include evenings and weekends;
- Regularly work indoors, with occasional requirements for outdoor work;
- May, on occasion, be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment, event audio sound equipment, etc.;
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer;
- Occasional prolonged periods of standing while traveling and attending conferences, trade shows, and various Move For Hunger events and meetings;
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and infrequently up to 50 pounds.

- Salary: Commensurate with Experience; $75,000-85,000;
- Bonus structures may be available to compensates an employee as a reward for exceeding pre-established goals and benchmarks;
- 401k match up to 2% annually after eligibility waiting period. We do not match ROTH contributions.
