Position Summary:
The Electrical Superintendent oversees numerous aspects of a project on the jobsite including planning, scheduling, staffing, tooling, safety, quality, purchasing, subcontract monitoring, controlling processes, home office reporting, and customer relations. The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for coordination and completion of the entire project. This position will be based at client job sites primarily in the Houston, Texas region and will require up to 75% travel.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure project is performed in a safe manner and that customer, governmental and corporate safety requirements are carried out.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project or portion of a project and scope.
- Manage project budgets and ensure project is completed within defined budgets.
- Manage project quality and ensure work is performed in accordance with the customer's, company's and code requirements.
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Minimize our exposure and risk on project.
- Develop estimates for projects as required.
- Ensure all project documents and reports are completed and signed if required.
Requirements
Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Must have strong knowledge of electrical construction means and methods associated with the specific project types.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills are required.
- Must be computer literate and be able to communicate effectively by both written and oral means.
Skills and Abilities
Education: Master Electrician or NCCER certified Electrician
Experience: 10 years or more industrial electrical experience, power generation is a plus
Computer Skills: Microsoft Word & Excel
Certificates & Licenses: Employee will be expected to pass state electrical exams and renew licenses annually
