We’re looking for a part time (15 to 25 hours per week) Finance Analyst to play a critical role in helping us scale up our operations, impact, and mission of driving funds to nonprofits fueled by our technology enabled donor advised fund. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teamwork, has a strong attention to detail, and is able to take on a wide array of functions.
Responsibilities:
The Network for Good Finance Analyst will provide support to the organization’s Chief Financial Officer in the following areas:
- Provide financial and analytical support in areas such as:
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Customer/partner pricing models
- Vendor analysis and due diligence
- Investment/cash management reviews and analysis
- Risk management analysis
- Perform a variety of ad hoc financial, operational or other analyses/data pulls.
- Manage or assist with analyses associated with process improvement initiatives, accounting integrations and automations.
- Support data-related analyses needed for IRS Form 990 and various state charitable registration forms.
- Provide occasional support for accounting journal entries and schedules that require it.
- On an interim basis (until our staff is expanded), assist with managing our donor advised fund activities including:
- Performing a variety of day-to-day oversight activities of the donor advised fund and associated flow of funds and controls including reviews of pre-disbursement grants and reissues to nonprofit organizations.
- Working with Network for Good’s data team to update and enhance our organizational KPI Dashboard.
- Leading donor advised fund specific analyses such as segmentation and associated action plans on grant checks that are uncashed by charities or funds otherwise undeliverable to charities.

- Strong analytical skills required
- Data-driven and analytical. Innate problem solver. Proactive in finding problems AND arriving at a variety of creative solutions and recommendations
- Reliable (can be trusted with sensitive data and strict deadlines).
- High energy and able to prioritize and quickly work.
- Organized (manages assigned tasks and completes them according to priorities).
- Flexible (willingness to adapt to changes).
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a remote team.
Required Knowledge & Expertise:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, business analysis or similar role.
- Preferred experience in a social impact, technology-based or nonprofit organization.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel) and Google suite (docs, sheets, etc.).
- Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills are required. Other advanced data analysis skills are desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid research and documentation skills.
- Ability to work with teammates on a US-based schedule.
- Authorized to permanently work legally in the United States.

Compensation: $45-$50/hour depending on experience. Expected 20-25 hours per week.
