GCP Certified Solutions Architect

We are embarking on a significant cloud migration project to transition from Microsoft Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP Certified Solutions Architect to lead this strategic initiative and ensure a smooth, efficient, and secure migration.

• Migration Strategy & Planning:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy to transition services and infrastructure from Azure to GCP.
• Conduct thorough assessments of the current Azure environment to identify dependencies, risks, and challenges.
• Design target GCP architecture that meets business requirements, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Create detailed migration plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Solution Design & Implementation:
• Design scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions on GCP that align with best practices and business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of GCP services with existing systems, tools, and processes.
• Oversee the implementation and configuration of GCP services, including storage, networking, security, and identity management.
• Collaboration & Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers, developers, and IT professionals throughout the migration process.
• Work closely with project managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and communication.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for cloud architecture, security, and governance.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
• Monitor the performance and health of the GCP environment post-migration to ensure optimal operation.
• Identify and address any performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, or security concerns.
• Implement automation and monitoring tools to ensure ongoing efficiency and reliability of cloud services.
• Documentation & Training:
• Document all architectural designs, configurations, and procedures related to the migration.
• Develop and deliver training sessions to internal teams on GCP best practices and new processes.
• Create detailed runbooks and support documentation to assist with ongoing cloud operations.

Requirements

• Certifications:
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification (required)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)
• Experience:
• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect, with a focus on Azure and GCP.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale cloud migration projects from Azure to GCP.
• Deep understanding of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Kubernetes Engine.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, architecture, and best practices.
• Skills:
• Expertise in cloud architecture design, migration strategies, and automation.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and regulatory compliance in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud strategies.
• Experience in cost optimization and cloud financial management.
