Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Head of Blockchain Engineering - candidates can be based anywhere.
Warning: This isn't your average blockchain gig. We're not here to build another DeFi protocol that'll be forgotten next week. We're creating something entirely new at the intersection of AI and crypto, and we need a gangster to help lead the charge.
You're not just another dev - you're the architect of our blockchain future and want to build a real mainstream crypto application that millions of people will use. Your decisions will shape w.ai and impact millions of users. We're looking for a crypto-native with a robust background in decentralized application development, protocol engineering, and smart contract expertise. Someone who can turn abstract ideas into concrete action, working directly with our CEO & Head of Engineering.
What You'll Be Doing
- Play a crucial role in system design and architecture
- Lead the development of both blockchain and backend systems
- Direct our engineering team towards building scalable and secure applications
- Uphold high standards in code quality, application scalability, and responsiveness
- Contribute to our technical whitepaper and investor decks, shaping how we present our vision to the world
Some projects you might tackle:
- An on-chain payment system using state channels
- A dispute resolution system for on-chain verification of inference
- Tokenomics-related mechanisms
Requirements
3-5+ years of experience, with deep expertise in decentralized application development and protocol engineering
Proficiency in developing on Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) or Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). You should speak Rust or Solidity, as fluently as you speak English
A track record of managing projects where security, usability, and scalability aren't just buzzwords
The ability to work autonomously and thrive in ambiguity
Benefits
Compensation: $150-$350k USD / Equity + Token Allocation (dependent on experience level)
