The Client Implementation Accounting Specialist operates within the Implementation Team to ensure timely completion of all client deliverables during the onboarding process. Responsibilities include handling special projects, back work, and daily assignments as directed by the Implementation Team. This role primarily functions behind the scenes and usually does not involve client calls, although occasional email correspondence with clients may be necessary. The Client Implementation Accounting Specialist contributes significantly to the Implementation Division's efforts in meeting their client-related objectives.
- Manage full cycle accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Set up customer and vendor accounts accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations of deposits to ensure financial accuracy.
- Post daily cash receipts from lockbox and electronic deposits into the system.
- Enter journal entries into QuickBooks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Record land freight costs into QuickBooks for proper expense tracking.
- Support the monthly close process and assist in preparing financial reports.
- Assess, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities across multiple clients daily to meet onboarding goals and deadlines.
- Exercise sound judgment in decision-making while addressing individual client needs.
- Provide training to Client Accounting Specialists during client transitions to the Client Services team as needed.
- Demonstrate confidence in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- Offer feedback to Implementation Project Managers and Implementation Leads on the performance of Client Accounting Specialists during training sessions.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, the candidate will need:
- Experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite finance modules.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables.
- Ability to present complex information to various audiences, adjusting delivery based on experience level and skillset, while demonstrating patience.
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated track record of accuracy and speed in current role.
- Capability to follow instructions while also evaluating new solutions or efficiencies.
- Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in researching, learning, and implementing new applications to meet client and company needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- 2-3 Years of QuickBooks and/or NetSuite Experience
- Experience working with SMBs in the $5M to $50M market is ideal
- Authorized to work within the US
