What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning Ops Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Machine Learning Ops Engineer, you will develop and deploy machine learning models into production, and manage the lifecycle needs of those models (such as version control, retraining, and eventual retirement). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, and be comfortable working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. 

At K1X You Will:

• Design, build, and maintain machine learning models in production environments. 

• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to build robust ML pipelines and product integrations. 

• Optimize and improve existing machine learning models and infrastructure. 

• Implement best practices for model development, deployment, and monitoring to ensure reliability and scalability. 

• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field 

• 6+ years of relevant industry experience in a machine learning role, with a focus on unstructured and semi-structured data (e.g. financial documents) 

• Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc) as well as experience serving models developed in those frameworks in production environments 

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services and experience with cloud-based model serving 

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex technical results to senior leaders and nontechnical audiences 

• Highly proficient in Python 

Preferred Experience: 

• Previous experience with applications of NLP to financial documents 

• Familiarity with alternative investment accounting needs 

• Prior experience integrating Python-based models with .NET applications in cloud environments
