Full Job Description
As Manager of Development at Mind Share Partners, you will have the opportunity to be part of the growing movement to end the stigma of mental health in the workplace. You will support our fundraising efforts, setting the foundation and building out the function in partnership with the CEO. Mind Share’s philanthropic revenue is primarily comprised of individual major gifts, and we are putting an increasing effort into institutional giving. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth through strategic donor cultivation and relationship management, directly impacting our ability to advance our mission. You’ll be part of a team that is entrepreneurial and creative, working in a small, nimble, growing nonprofit that moves quickly.
Responsibilities -
Fundraising Strategy & Donor Relationships:
- Support and advise on the creation of a strategy for cultivating a portfolio of donors with the goal of maximizing revenue for the organization as a whole.
- Support the CEO in cultivating relationships and providing communications support with major givers, institutional donors, and corporate partners, including:
- Strategy: Advise on relationship and ask approach
- Relationships: attend meetings, build relationships with donors as appropriate
- Logistics: crafting emails, reports, memos, teeing them up for meetings and conversations, etc.
- Surface new opportunities (prospecting), including grant opportunities, by actively following philanthropic news and researching peer organizations.
- Write grant applications and LOIs. Coordinate with other team members to gather information and craft proposals.
Fundraising Systems & Project Management:
- Maintain and improve fundraising functional operations, building structure, systems, and processes. Codify development best practices.
- Manage grant application process. Review applications and opportunities and advise on approach and outreach. Track deadlines and progress including following up with contributing team members.
- Maintain fundraising weighted pipeline and data in Salesforce as well as in moves management spreadsheet.
Board and Advisory Council Support:
- Support board and advisory council engagement strategy: materials creation, logistics, meeting preparation, meeting minutes, relationship management, and communications.
- Keep board members and the advisory council informed, connected, and able to execute their governance responsibilities effectively.
- Help to identify and recruit new board and advisory council members in consultation with the CEO.
Special Projects:
- Collaborate with the Managing Director of External Relations & Communications on fundraising-related initiatives, including events and partnerships.
- Support the CEO on various project management priorities as they arise, contributing to the organization’s overall success.
Logistics -
- This role is a Full-Time, Exempt role that can be based anywhere in the United States; we have a nationally distributed team.
- All of Mind Share’s current work is done remotely. Occasional travel is required.
- This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer. The role will work with all members of the Mind Share Partners team.

Requirements
- Experienced Revenue-Generator:
- Approximately 5-10 years of professional experience,
- Minimum 2 years in an established fundraising department, including donor stewardship across diverse funding streams.
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to cultivate and manage relationships with major donors and institutional funders, influencing stakeholders towards shared goals.
- Project Management: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, adept at managing projects cross-functionally and maintaining focus on strategic objectives.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of aligning messaging with organizational leadership and stakeholders.
- Team Player: Collaborative and adaptable, willing to contribute at all levels to achieve organizational success.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently while thriving in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Mind Share Partners offers competitive pay, commensurate with your skills and experience. The compensation range for this role is $90-100k.
