Full Job Description
What we are looking for:
We are seeking an Outsource Animator to collaborate closely with both internal and external teams on animation assets for cosmetics. In this role, you will work with the producer on scheduling, coordinate with the internal development team to meet project needs and manage the delivery of assets from external vendors. The candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for external partners and must be extremely nimble, with strong organizational skills, strong communicational skills, and flexibility to adapt to varying time schedules, evolving project needs, and non-traditional hours across different time zones. While the role includes managerial responsibilities, it is also hands-on, involving the intake and assessment of assets to ensure they meet the required standards. Additionally, you will provide valuable feedback on animation from outsource to maintain quality and consistency throughout the project.
Requirements
- Work closely with animation leads and directors to establish clear animation guidelines, including technical constraints and artistic direction for outsourced animation assets.
- Oversee, Implement and track assets.
- Provide detailed feedback to outsourced animation teams, ensuring that work maintains consistency with the project's visual style, tone, and gameplay requirements.
- Train and support outsourcing partners by sharing best practices, sample animations, and technical documentation to streamline their production process.
- Assist in resolving technical and creative challenges, promoting efficient and sustainable workflows.
What you will bring:
- Proficiency in animation software, such as Maya, MotionBuilder and Unreal Engine 5’s animation tools set and pipeline.
- Attention to detail and the ability to critique both technical and creative aspects of animation.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with experience managing large-scale asset deliveries from external teams. (Shotgrid experience is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills and team player.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with both internal teams and external outsourcing partners.
- Passion for animation and a desire to stay up to date with industry trends and technologies.
- Live service project experience preferred, but shipping experience required.
- Ability to work non-traditional office hours.
