Position Summary

We are seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to join our growing People & Culture team. This position reports to the Director, People & Culture.

In this newly-created role, you will play a vital part in supporting the People & Culture function at Rewiring America. You will be instrumental in managing and optimizing various people-focused processes and systems, contributing significantly to the efficiency of our Chief of Staff operations. Your responsibilities will extend across a broad spectrum of activities and processes, including assisting the People & Culture and Talent Acquisition operations and the broader Chief of Staff team. 

The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills, adeptly handling multiple tasks with the ability to contribute effectively to the development and implementation of People & Culture strategies. In this role, your contributions will be key to enhancing the effectiveness of our team and advancing the mission of Rewiring America.

What You’ll Do

  • Help in organizing and streamlining onboarding and offboarding processes, providing support to ensure a seamless experience for new and departing employees.
  • Support our recruiting efforts and ensure a positive experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders through coordination, tracking, and processing. 
  • Aid in addressing employee inquiries related, but not limited to, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, total rewards, company policies and procedures, and compliance.
  • Assist in overseeing  the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Assist with managing employee benefits programs, liaising with vendors and ensuring effective communication of benefits information to employees.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies. Ensure these policies align with organizational goals and assist in communicating and enforcing these policies across the organization.
  • Support the performance review process, coordinating logistics and aiding in the collection and organization of feedback.
  • Work closely with the Operations Coordinator, particularly in areas of administrative efficiency, employee experience, and internal process alignment.
  • Coordinate logistics for training and development initiatives, ensuring resources and materials are available and schedules are maintained.
  • Contribute to the the fun Rewiring America culture and vibe by:
    • Owning staff gift ideas and sending
    • Contributing ideas and excellence to RA Way culture team 
    • Coordinating employee climate journey presentations 
    • Continuing to build in fun, inclusive ways in which Rewiring America teams can learn and understand our processes
  • Oversee vendor relationships and contract management for People & Culture-related services.
  • Identify patterns and trends that allow us to proactively lay the groundwork for, and innovate on, delivery of a world-class employee service model.
  • Plan and organize internal meetings and events, ensuring they reflect and enhance Rewiring America’s values and culture.
  • Undertake special projects and tasks as needed, supporting the broader objectives and strategy of the People & Culture team.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with HRIS and ATS like BambooHR, Rippling, Workable, Lever, etc.
  • Content knowledge or interest in climate, renewable energy, and/or building electrification.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - 90,000 USD, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees (and their families). Employees are able to enroll in 401k retirement plan and are eligible for a 3% automatic contribution and up to a 3% employer match on 401k contributions. Employees are also eligible for pre-tax transportation benefits. Employees will receive 160 hours of vacation time, 80 hours of health leave, up to 2 days of casual leave, and 20 hours of volunteer leave annually. Employees will also receive 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year (15 days during Presidential and Congressional elections). We have an office closure between Christmas and New Year. Employees are eligible for 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave after 90 days of employment. Regular, full-time employees and part-time employees are eligible to take up to sixteen weeks of parental leave, in all cases related to birth, adoption, or foster care starting from the first day of employment. We offer access to professional development resources.
