SUMMARY:
The Regular Education Instructional Assistant (IA) position works with teachers to perform a variety of tasks supporting students with daily instruction and literacy-based activities. Position works directly with students, teachers and school staff to perform all duties with accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism. Must have the ability to relate effectively with students, staff and the public.
- The hourly Regular Education Instructional Assistant (IA) pay rate is $18 per hour with 21 hours of paid time off (PTO) -prorated based on start date
CURRENT VACANCIES:
- Mary D. Lang Kindergarten Center: Monday through Friday from 8:15am-3:45pm
- Bancroft Elementary School: Monday through Friday from 8:15am-3:45pm
- New Garden Elementary School: Monday through Friday from 8:15am-3:45pm
- Kennett Middle School: Monday through Friday from 7:10am-2:40pm
- Kennett High School: Monday through Friday from 7:15am-2:45pm
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Two-years of post-secondary education (48 credits) or an Associates degree
- Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
- Must have the ability to relate effectively with students, staff and public
CREDENTIALING :
(Clearances current within 12 months)
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
- TB Screening - current within 3 months
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
