The RFP Team Lead will oversee the development of exceptional proposals that are not only of the highest quality but also captivating enough to win over clients in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of two writers, handling proposal processes efficiently, and ensuring the punctual submission of winning bids.
The RFP Team Lead's core responsibility lies in managing the complete workflow, input, coordination, finalization, and analysis for RFPs. This includes maintaining an up-to-date RFP content library, encompassing all indispensable responses associated with functional technology, contracting, SLAs, and more. Moreover, this position bears the responsibility of keeping in touch with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and ensuring they are consistently updating their assigned questions.
Additionally, the team lead skillfully manages the anticipations for two other RFP writers while effectively guiding the team through motivation, clear direction, and unwavering clarity.

Things You Will Do:
- Maintain content inside of the RFP tool, ensuring that content is current, accurate, and professional.
- Lead and mentor a small team of 2 proposal writers
- Develop proposal strategies and outlines
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to maintain content
- Edit and refine proposal drafts for clarity and persuasiveness
- Ensure compliance with RFP requirements and company standards
- Manage proposal timelines and deadlines
- Conduct post-submission analyses to improve future proposals
- Create and maintain templates for proposals, attachments, executive summaries, and other proposal documents as needed.
- Ensure that the Standard Narrative is regularly updated, and that corresponding QA pairs in the content library are also updated.
- Maintain the RFP Team Confluence page.
Within 30 days: you will have completed the initial onboarding process, gaining a good grasp of our fantastic product, acquiring a fundamental understanding of our RFP tool, and understanding the general plan and knowledge of our workflow and SME responsibilities.
Within 60 days: You should be managing RFP input, assignments, and metrics.
Within 90 days: You will be in full swing of running the RFP process and managing other RFP writer workloads/assignments.
Requirements
- Solid experience in proposal writing, ideally no less than 2 recent years.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills (will need to provide a writing sample in this interview process).
- Strong project management skills and organizational abilities to be successful in a scaling environment.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft tools, and proposal software such as RFP IO (now known as Responsive).
- Willingness to work with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Compensation✨
Perceptyx is focused on equitable pay for all our staff and aims for transparency with our pay practices. The salary range for this role is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually. This range represents the expected base salary range for this position. ***The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to:
