Our North American client is a leading provider of innovative LED lighting solutions, catering to a diverse range of applications. This is a freelance position.
Job Summary: The Sales Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving sales, building a partner representative network, and mentoring a team within the commercial and industrial LED lighting sector. This position involves coaching team members, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and aligning our offerings with market demands. The Sales Consultant will work closely with architectural and lighting designers to ensure our products exceed expectations and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.
- Develop and expand a network of partner representatives to increase market reach and drive sales growth.
- Collaborate with the team to align company strategies with commercial and industrial market demands.
- Engage with architectural and lighting designers to understand their needs and ensure products meet their specifications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the architectural and lighting design community.
- Provide technical support and expertise to customers regarding LED products and their applications.
- Assist in the preparation of quotations and proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for new product development and market expansion.
- Coordinate with the product development team to communicate market needs and ensure product offerings are competitive and innovative.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote products and stay updated on industry developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the commercial and industrial LED lighting industry, preferably in a sales or specification role.
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring a sales team.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing a partner representative network.
- Strong understanding of LED lighting technology and applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with designers and architects.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other related software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
