Full Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Manager to oversee our DevOps team and optimize our development and operational processes with a significant emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will empower our product engineering teams by implementing self-service mechanisms that provide an easy interface for creating new services and their underlying infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developer experience, possess a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and production support while leading a team of engineers to drive efficiency and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available AWS infrastructure solutions using services such as EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, Glue, SQS, Lambda and Service Catalog.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process, ensuring rapid and reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and enhance the overall software development lifecycle.
- Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and security across the AWS environment.
- Implement best practices in infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, and monitoring to ensure operational excellence.
- Manage incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct proactive capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Strong expertise in AWS services and architecture, with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) highly desirable.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm, Jenkins).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance frameworks within cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and levels of the organization.

Benefits
Compensation: Perceptyx is focused on equitable pay for all our staff and aims for transparency with our pay practices. This position has a base salary range of $180,000 to $235,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
