Full Job Description

The Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps team at Tapcheck is expanding! We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer who brings a strong expertise in Azure, hands-on experience with Terraform, and a solid background in building secure and scalable systems to join our team.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in aligning our application with Microsoft’s Well Architected Framework. Collaborating closely with our team, you will plan, implement, and manage our Azure cloud infrastructure.  If you’re ready to make an impact in a growing team, we’d love to hear from you! 

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor the production environment by overseeing system health and availability to ensure optimal performance
  • Design, implement, and enhance cloud-based infrastructure solutions on Azure, ensuring high availability and scalability
  • Architect and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity strategies across multiple data centers and regions
  • Measure and optimize system performance to proactively address customer needs and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide primary engineering and operational support for large-scale distributed software applications
  • Balance the speed of feature development with reliability, adhering to well-defined service-level objectives
  • Partner with engineering teams to design and build durable, scalable products
  • Establish and implement effective environment monitoring and alerting systems
  • Ensure the security and compliance of cloud-based infrastructure solutions
  • Document design decisions and processes while participating in system design consulting and capacity planning efforts 

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps with a strong focus on Azure
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
  • 5+ years of proficiency in high-level programming languages, including Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript
  • 4+ years of experience with container platforms like Docker and LXC, as well as dynamic resource management frameworks such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker Swarm
  • Proactive in identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
  • Strong understanding of networking and security principles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related experience
  • Experience in fintech (payroll, payments, ecommerce, etc.) preferred
  • Experience building secure and reliable environments and supporting high volume traffic web or data processing applications preferred
  • AZ-400 Certification or SC-100 Certification preferred

Compensation: $160,000 - $170,000. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: location, experience, training, knowledge. and skills. Tapcheck reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time. All applicants acknowledge that by applying to this position you understand that this specific pay range is contingent upon meeting the qualifications and requirements of the role, and for the successful completion of the interview selection and process. It is at the Company's discretion to determine what pay is provided to a candidate within the range associated with the role.
